About

Downtown Calgary from Rotary Park

Our collective

Exposure Collective is a group of photographers in Alberta, Canada, with diversity in practice and focus. It was brought together in 2020 by Exposure, Alberta’s Photography Festival, as part of an online photo discussion series called Exposure Studio. The group continues to work together and has its first exhibition, In Conversation at Rotary Park, Calgary running from January 2 until February 28, 2022.

Exhibition: In Conversation

Rotary Park is splendidly situated on the hill overlooking the Bow River and downtown core, north of Memorial Drive and east of Centre Street in Calgary’s Crescent Heights community. The park will host 23 Albertan photographers In Conversation across six mini-galleries over two months, Jan-Feb, 2022. Using their creative work to encourage discussion in a public forum, each of the mini-galleries will feature a photo-based conversation between a pair of photographers.

To accommodate all voices in this group, the galleries will change over to a new set of photo conversations on February 5th. Outdoor and wheelchair accessible, Crescent Heights Mini-Galleries is supported by the Government of Canada’s Healthy Communities Initiative.

Directions to Rotary Park

You can find the entrance to Rotary Park via this map link using what3words. A map showing the location of the six mini-galleries will be posted soon.
